3 Qualities of an Ideal Pest Control Customer

For nearly half a century our team at Holder Termite and Pest Control has been serving families in our area by protecting their homes from unwanted pests. In that time we have figured out exactly what it takes to provide our best to each of our customers and have built a reputation for our expertise, consistency, and customer service. It’s fair to say that we’ve learned what it takes to be your ideal pest control company.

Over the same period of years, we’ve learned a little something about the qualities that make up our ideal pest control customers. We should mention for the record that most of our customers fall into this category. We’ve been fortunate over the years to collect an incredible group of homeowners to work with, and are adding to it all the time. If you haven’t yet found your pest control family we’d love to work with you to protect your home. Here are some of the common qualities our customers have that make them so pleasant to work with.

1. Keep Your Eyes Peeled

The key to preventing severe pest control issues is early detection. That requires you and each of the members of your household to keep eyes, ears, and noses trained for any signs that you may have a problem. First and foremost, you should keep your eyes open for the presence of actual pests. If you see rodents, ants, cockroaches, or any other unwanted pests in your home call us as soon as possible. Pest infestations are easier to treat earlier on in the process. In addition to seeing pests in your home, you may also see the evidence they leave behind. If you have a termite problem that evidence will come in the form of termite wings or frass. If you have a rodent problem, the evidence may look more like mouse droppings or partially eaten food. The point here is not to encourage our clients to live in a constant state of fear, but to develop an awareness of the telltale signs that you need to call a pest control professional.

2. Keep Your Home Protected

You’ve heard the saying, “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure,” and the trope rings as true for pest control as it does for anything else. Our easiest clients to work with are also our most consistent clients. By investing in pest control prevention in the form of regular visits from a member of our team, you are more likely to avoid a complicated and costly infestation down the line. If you really want to get the most out of your pest control investment, sign up for regular and ongoing treatments.

3. Be Aware of Risks

Our ideal clients are aware of their behaviors that may increase the risk of a pest control problem in their home. For example, if you have young children traipsing around your home with crumbly sweet snacks you’re more likely to have an ant or cockroach problem. If you have a large woodpile in your back yard or a tree that is infested with termites on your property, you’re more likely to end up with termites inside your home. There are often small adjustments that our customers make to ensure that their home stays safe and protected and that their pest control efforts aren’t being thwarted by their bad habits. Take a moment to mentally survey your home and imagine the ways in which pests may gain entrance. Simply being aware of the potential risks can help you take small steps to address them.

Any service provider you let onto your property should be trustworthy. At Holder Pest Control we’ve spent decades earning the trust of the homeowners in our community and we’ll continue to be here for years to come. Whether you take the steps listed above or not, we’ll always be around to help you when you need it most.

This whole article has been about what we love most about working with our customers. We don’t point these things out for our sake, but for yours! When customers take these simple steps to be more proactive about their pest control, they end up making better use of the resources available to them. Keeping your eyes peeled and your risk factors low is to your benefit because it means we can come out as soon as possible to help you solve your pest control problem. We want you to get the biggest bang for your pest control buck and feel satisfied and protected by our services.
